Walk a Mile in My Shoes

I don't always say the Lord's prayer each night, sometimes I just pass out. But lately I get to the "lead us not into temptation" and it seems totally wrong.

 

We should be faced with temptation in life, a person with no temptation is not better because he has done no wrong when compared with one constantly dealing with temptation and has fallen a few times.

 

But I guess it goes back to gouging one's eyes out.

 

We have a world of people judging others, the saying, "walk a mile in my shoes" to most Christians means that a lot of people have similar shoe sizes.

It must be in the Koran, Ed said it was.

"It says in the Koran for the Muslims to kill until they can't kill anymore. When they truly are allowed by us to carry out their religion they will kill those that are least like a Muslim, probably Swedish and then down and down killing everyone until finally the African because they look closest. Raccoon Reading in My Library

Funny, I thought. Having a raccoon laying on the table below the reading lamp perusing William James was odd. Had you asked me before the event had I believed it would happen? Well, I dare say I never even thought about it. Though on the other hand if a raccoon was to read in someone's library my chances are certainly increased by the fact that raccoons do live in my area. My chances are extremely increased, I shall guess, due to the fact that this particular Procyon lotor must reside within raccoon walking distance, although I never actually checked for tiny transportation waiting outside.

 

To believe in this, is to believe in Jesus Christ. When reality and evidence enter the picture there is no logic in either example. And yet Christians search and search and distort everything they can get away with. Plate tectonics do not exist, evolution does not exist, they finally caved on the universe and the earth not being the center of said universe, but the Church killed a lot of brilliant people to hide the truth.

 

My point is that it is belief, am I happy knowing at night some little critter is pondering his way through my books? You bet your britches I am. Knowing the little guy is furthering a mind I did not know existed? Of course the world is better with that little guy reading in my library.

 

One of the hardest things about getting to know Jesus is the Church. The way they have tried to tie Jesus into everything. They turned Jesus Christ into the biggest merchandising campaign in the history of man. Jesus out se

 

But if one cuts the Church out of the picture and just reads about Jesus, he is a very easy person to like. A person I would like to emulate as much as possible. If I start to believe he is the son of God? Well that is okay, too.

Christians won't vote Black

It is so against what is in the Bible, but Christians are the most money oriented people on the planet. I am speaking about American Christians. I think once they got passed slaughtering the original inhabitants here to feed their lust for wealth, they sort of discarded any connection between money and evil. The path of blood across this continent is what the red of red and green in Christmas is all about.

As I keep saying, if we would change the names and report what happened most people would say we were butchers, but we don't think so. We are Christians.

Christians are the most in favor of torture according to something on CNN, I  was in Altered States (Paddy Chayefsky) but I thought to myself, "That makes sense." Christians have come to believe that capitalism is what Jesus would favor. I believe you really have to screw with your beliefs to come up with that conclusion. But they do, Christians, a lot of them, believe that for a camel to pass through the eye of a needle is not that hard. A Christian some two hundred years ago made up that there was a gate in Jerusalem that a camel had to kneel down to brings its wealth into the city. The only problem is that there never was a gate like that until this Christian made it up.

If Christians show up and vote Obama will lose. Obama is anti war and Christians are certainly not, and have never been, anti war. They are not really fond of blacks either, although Mormons now allow blacks into heaven without having to be a slave there. Southern Baptists for years for a white as the driven snow. No blacks allowed unless they were scrubbing something.

But Christians are changing, they don't say the N word much.
