I published this entry on the wrong blog. You'll FIND it here
The long and short of it was that musically it was about John Baer's show at table Ten tonight

And it's true, all we needed was portholes and then we'd have this illusion we were on a cruise ship. Why is it that when one is on cruise ship everything seems better?
Is that true.
I've never been on a cruise ship.
Angela sees something in John and crew. She invited all of her friends. What I thought was this ecclectic crowd of people that had walked inf rom the street was more than likely Angela's friends. Her Mother certainly enjoyed herself.
I'd like to see John, Bobby and Larry in period tuxedos (1981-ish)
If you heard them play and sing you'd be smiling. The insanity of all of this is that they know what people want to hear because they ask people what they want to hear and then they play what the people ask them to play. There's never an actual set list because the audience is the set list. The John bear trio is really a study in LOUNGEMAN SHIP and could be studied on a college level if so desired. In fact, I think I will suggest to Farrah that she do her psycological disertation on the relationship created between performer and audience. What is truly fascinating is that this relationship, while acknowleded as being temporary, is still intimate and honest and not taken so seriously that any of the uncovered truths are cause for emabrrasement or a justification for leaving; rather, it's all rather endearing.
Much of the music in this town is cookie cutter proftable. It's loud, it's not connecting to the audience in any way other than through the music and it's an attempt to play other people's music as they would play it. John, Bobby and Larry are looking to unmask the originals and play them in their style.
And for that, they should be congratulated. Now go visit the other site and read the story from another point of view.
