Chris Cruz played Table Ten Sunday night. Steve and I sat at the bar and ended up having dinner.
I brought a bottle of Silver Horse Sage. I had brought my camera to photograph the scene but ended up not taking any pictures. When I come on Sundays I am always focused on the entertainment. But tonight I was sitting on the corner which made it more difficult to turn around and look at the music than it did to just sit at the bar and talk to Steve and watch Farrah bartend.
Farrah did a very good job. The bar was pretty busy and she kept everyone happy and everything clean. Phil and Yvette were there. Don and Marge were there. Joe was there. Dawn came after work. Chris's ex-girl friend was there.
Chris's friend played and I should have taken some pictures. Wish I did.
Next time right!
The music was suppose to stop at 8:30, but at 9:00 it was still going on. Both Steve and I had to get up somewhat early. Me, I'm helping Kacie paint her apartment. So, we left before the music ended. I was already yawning. I was hoping that young Mike stayed to help Farrah and make sure everything was ok for her to close alone. Wether that happened or not, I don't know.
Sunday's is finally turning into a scene at Table Ten.
We just need to keep nurturing it. I do think it is a combination of the entertainment and the connection everyone has made with Farrah. She's not the flashy flirty type of bartender. She's the smiling 'girl next door' bartender that you just feel comfortable around, and in the end, that's exactly what makes the neighborhood bar the 'neighborhood' bar. You go there because you feel like it's your extended family.
What happens when the place you are at becomes the place you wanted to be at?
That's a transcendental moment.
It means you're doing something right with your life.
It means your blowing with the wind, your not breaking.
Your bending.
And that's a goods thing.
Next weekend is the Dust Bowl. I promise to take pictures of the audience and the performers.
