So it was said by a Nation of Men under the influence of Drugs, greed and power.
And for all the wrong reasons no less ...
as if taking drugs was/is a bad thing.
"well", say the Artists.
"we don't take drugs to make the McDonald's taste better. We gave up on that crap a long time. We're looking for something much deeper and more profound than how to better deal with Local Redevelopment Agencies."
"And we do?", questions the Politician,
"You think we do? What's so inherently flawed about politicians?"
"Yeah", agrees the Drug Dealer, "Why I am the Evil?"
"And I agree", says the Business Man, "Why are Artists so much better?"
The Artist smiles a smile that goes unseen because this was a smile that was meant for sight not seen.
"The Artist has already been there, done that, moved on, to more important things.
"Like", says all three?
"Like, why after thousand's of years we still can't get it right? What is wrong with us? Is this the Nature of the Human Mind? Is it not time for us to Evolve? But evolve to what? What is next for Humanity? Please don't tell me it's some fusion of Man and Machine? If that is what you want to see, then you are a natural enemy of the People of this Planet. An Artist understands.
"Understands what?", says the Politician.
"That you by your very nature seek power. Power is your God. Money is your Method of Determining Value."
"And Artists are above all this", snarks the Drug Lord.
"By their very nature, Artists seek Truth ... Truth is their God."
And the Business Man says, "And what pray tell, is the Artist's Method of Determining Value?"
To that, the Artist replies, Gifting and Recieving Love. In the Artist's World, Value is determined by the Gifting and Receiving of Love.The two must be in harmony. Maintaining that harmony is no easy feat.
But it can be done.
